Welcome to "ByKeem" — a safe space for men, built by someone who's been there, felt that, and decided enough is enough.
Let’s face it: being a man in today’s world can feel like walking through life in steel-toed boots on broken glass. Society shouts “man up” at every turn — but barely whispers when it comes to offering real support. We're told to stay strong, stay silent, and shake it off. But what if... we didn’t have to?
What if there was a place where being a man didn’t mean bottling up pain or pretending everything’s fine?
What if strength looked like being honest, seeking help, and showing up for each other?
That’s the vision behind the Blog.
Why I Started This Blog
I'm Keem — a twenty-something Kenyan guy who’s lived the silent battles that many men face. From personal heartbreaks to mental breakdowns that didn’t “look serious enough” to anyone else, I’ve carried weights that never made it to social media. And I know I’m not alone.
The pressure to always “figure it out” by ourselves is exhausting. So I started writing — not just to heal, but to speak out. And now, I write to remind other men (and anyone who cares about them) that being human doesn’t make us weak. It makes us real.
What You’ll Find Here
On ByKeem Blog, I write about the things we’re often told to keep quiet:
✓ Mental health: anxiety, depression, emotional fatigue — all the stuff that gets brushed off as “just a bad day”
✓ Men’s struggles: loneliness, societal expectations, trauma, and how we’re taught to suppress it all
✓ Brotherhood & support: tips, stories, and real-talk on checking in with the homies and showing up for each other
✓ Redefining masculinity: tearing down toxic norms and building healthier, more human ways to be men in this world
Expect truth, honesty, occasional humour (because life gets absurd), and zero judgement.
Who This Blog Is For
If you’re a young man trying to make sense of your emotions…
If you’ve ever felt like no one understands what you’re going through…
If you’ve had to act “okay” when you were falling apart inside…
Or if you just want to be part of a new conversation about manhood…
This space is yours too.
And even if you’re not a guy, but you care about the mental wellbeing of the men in your life, you’re welcome here.
Let’s Talk, Bro
This isn’t just a blog. It’s a movement — slow and honest. I believe healing happens when we open up, when we’re seen, and when we feel safe to just be ourselves.
So read, share, comment. Let’s keep the conversation going. And if nothing else, let this page be a reminder:
You are not alone.
You don’t have to carry it all in silence.
Jiongee Bro. Let’s heal, together.
